What is RSS

RSS feeds give you a simple way to access any content on a daily basis! Here's how it works.

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It started in the world of blogs to help people who read lots of blogs. Imagine that you are an avid blog reader, and you find yourself reading 20 blogs a day. To go visit all of those blogs with your web browser every day is a pain. What you would like to do is click a button and see if there is any new content on any of your 20 blogs, and if so what it's about.

RSS was invented to solve that problem. Many sites, especially sites that provide news or other content that is updated on a regular basis are now offering RSS feeds. Using either a RSS Reader or a web portal (such as Goole or Yahoo) you are able to easily setup multiple RSS feeds to display. That way you can go to one location and see the headlines of all new content across many different sites.
